Missing the Boulevard? Us too. In an attempt to help, we’ve put together this list of the wonderful podcasts who did live recordings in our building. Why not find some headphones, curl up in your favourite chair and close your eyes, it’ll feel like you’re right back in our auditorium! You could even take a full tour of our building (check that out here) and usher yourself to a seat… that’s one way to feel like you’re back, right?

Adulting
Oenone Forbat is the host of the incredibly popular conversational podcast, Adulting, which tries to figure out all the things we never got taught in school.
Exploring topics such as how socio-political and cultural factors might impact the way we fit into society and how we ‘grow up’, as well as recognising – and learning to check – our privileges. Covering topics ranging from female pleasure to white saviourism with guests such as Sofie Hagen, Charly Cox and Henry Fraser.
Check out episode 50 Part 1 and 2 for why we should all stop apologising for who we are and the bonus episode on the 12 January 2020 about sobriety for Boulevard live recorded goodness.

Freelance Pod
Hosted by journalist Suchandrika Chakrabarti. Each episode, her guests tell her how the internet has changed, or invented, their work. In the live recording Suchandrika was joined by author Gemma Milne, whose book on hype in science & tech reporting, Smoke and Mirrors, has recently come out. They’ll be talking about how to get your nonfiction book published (Gemma’s doing that, and makes a YouTube series about it), self-branding online and how hyped-up journalism gets amplified on the internet, giving us scary headlines like “Robots are going to steal our jobs!” (they’re not).
You’re looking for episode 39 for the live recording.

Best Day Ever
Best Day Ever is a brand-new comedy parlour game for grim times with Uncle and Niece team, Glyn and Hannah Maxwell (perfect for these times you might say…). This live recording has a very special guest, Poet Laureate Simon Armitage, who must spend a surreal day in The Best Village Ever, choosing between the bizarre, sublime and ridiculous offers made by three mischievous Angel-Guides. Expect the nonsensical, the beautiful and… trampolining with Judi Dench.
This episode hasn’t quite been made live yet but that doesn’t mean you can’t have the best day ever with some of their other ones! Check them out.

The Unseen Hour
Underground cult horror comedy The Unseen Hour presents a brand new tale of the uncanny, the macabre and the absurd. Part of a new series of strange and appalling visions of destruction, Rufus Strideforth, a blundering coward, once again encounters perilous, apocalyptic circumstances that threaten the very fabric of reality. Three actors perform multiple roles and create live sound effects in an absurd and chaotic live radio drama.
The live recording also isn’t quite out yet but they have loads of other ones stored up to sink your teeth into!
