Since lock down has begun, home workouts are all the rage! Everyone is getting into the mood, whether it’s P.E. with Joe Wicks in the morning or a peaceful yoga afternoon, more and more people are jumping on the band wagon. We thought we’d chat to our staff about the ones they’re getting along with and what they could recommend to you. Exercise is so important for mental health and getting moving can improve your whole outlook, why not give some of these a try and let us know how you get on using #BoulevardRecommends on social media (@BoulevardSoho)? We’d love to hear from you.

BBC Archive Workouts
Sounds strange but stay with us here, the BBC Archive Twitter account has been throwing some retro shapes posting old BBC Breakfast workout videos with Tony Britts. If you want to know what it’s like, remember that meme that did the rounds of the 80s aerobic workout put to modern music? It’s that, in workout form. Who knew this is where your daily exercise would come from? Don some spandex and away we go. It’s hilarious and brief – just our kind of workout.
We recommend you take a look...

Pump It Up dance workouts
If you’re loving the look of the Tony Britt workouts but want them to go on a little longer, here’s the workout for you. Remember the Eric Prydz Call On Me video? This workout features the dancers from that and the 90s vibes that exude from the videos give a hint of nostalgic amazing-ness. Coupled with a tailored Ministry of Sound mix, this dance-style workout will get you moving and get you sweating. It’s also completely free on YouTube, enjoy!

Headspace
Headspace is an app which allows you to practise mindfulness and meditation. However, they also do a few really great programmes that alternate between cardio, strength and meditation. This is great for those among you who aren’t used to (and don’t want) structured exercise but still want to incorporate some more fitness into your life through lockdown. Making your mind and body stronger one work out at a time, this is definitely one to try out.
