with the Oliveros Ensemble

The Oliveros Ensemble have chosen the much loved, sunny trio in D by Beethoven, Schubert’s short and delightful Trio K471, and a surprise gem, a fantastic lesser-known string trio by Jean Cras. The diverse musical backgrounds and experiences of the members of Oliveros Ensemble inform the way that they approach their music-making. They aim to highlight the drama and the joy of their chosen repertoire with a theatrical approach, whilst bringing across the subtlety of the music through their attention to stylistic detail.

The musically multi-faceted and award-winning members of the Oliveros Ensemble came together in 2019 to form a string trio. They have spent the last year exploring some of the lesser-known repertoire for string trio, as well as some of the under-performed classics for this combination. Flora, Ellen and Sophie all studied at the Royal Academy of Music and have experience performing chamber music together in various combinations. These include over 50 performances for MishMash Productions and touring abroad for the Palestine Music Festival.
