This event has now finished.
Please note that in line with guidance from the government and Society of Official London Theatre, upcoming performances of Hello and Goodbye are postponed until further notice. We will be directly in touch with ticket buyers, and will update all customers as and when we are able to safely reopen the building and commence operations. We thank you for your understanding at this difficult time.
All his life, cobbler Terry has spent his days tending to his neighbour’s soles. Now it’s time for the appentice to take over, and Terry finds himself handing down two types of keys…
In the corner of the shop sits a piano and come closing time the workers transform into The Cavalcaders – a legendary barbershop quartet. While the group may be pitch-perfect onstage, they often find themselves tone-deaf when it comes to relationships. In this close-knit Irish community, lives, loves and longings overlap as easily as the Cavalcaders’ melodies, and private affairs never stay private for long.
From celebrated writer Billy Roche, whose other works include the critically acclaimed Wexford Trilogy, comes this beautifully bittersweet story of music, memories and moving on.
Kathy Burke has worked extensively as an award-winning actress and director for more than 30 years. Her directing credits include Honest Amy (Edinburgh Fringe), Lady Windermere’s Fan (West End), Blue/Orange (Sheffield Crucible) and born bad (Royal Court).
